Chateau/Poyet

The scene is set in front of a French chateau. The camera chases improbable incidents across the screen. Many are constructed out of one of Jordan's favorite engravings illustrators: Poyet. Duels occur on a tight rope. Heavier-than- air machines fly (and sometimes crash). Below guns spear exploding spheres. The timing of the animation is exquisite, existing in an atmosphere balanced between frenzy and delight.

Mau

Two stray cats come to secretly steal milk from a pharaoh's bath, but one of them becomes hypnotized by a life of wealth.

When you’re asleep

This little film, which juxtaposes animated sand and scratching on 16mm film, was made during studies at the Royal College of Art. The starting point of this film was the sentence "but it's always when you're asleep that I want to talk to you", read on a wall in the underground... a phrase actually taken from a Mano Solo song.

The Lighthouse

In a boat graveyard a conflictive relationship between two neighbors takes place: a lighthouse keeper and a mermaid. The lighthouse keeper guides the boats towards safe waters while the mermaids tries to sink them.

Little Human

Little Human is the third part of my ‘Cyprus Collage Stories’ series. Stop motion collage mixes up with old and new film in order to tell the imaginary adventures of a very popular Cypriot weaving pattern called ‘little human’. This anthropomorphic design which looks like something between a knight and a spaceman begins a journey to find his real home out of the weaving fabric.

It takes a wise jackalope - a horn-adorned rabbit - to teach the moping lamb that wooly or not, it's what's inside that'll help him rebound from life's troubles.

Step Into the River

Lu and Wei live in a village in rural China. The young girls often go to the nearby river to play or fish with their fathers. The river has a special meaning for them because China’s one-child policy has led to some parents drowning their newborn daughters there.
