Chronically agoraphobic since the day his wife was murdered, Tommy Cowley finds himself terrorized by a gang of syringe-wielding feral children, who are intent on taking his baby daughter. Upon discovering the nightmarish truth surrounding these hooded children, he learns that to be free of his fears, he must finally face the demons of his past and enter the one place he fears the most - the abandoned tower block, known as the Citadel.

Joe makes his living working from home, since he suffers from agoraphobia and cannot leave his house. His roommates are completely unaware of his condition and just leave him to his devices even though he refuses to ever accompany them on trips and outings. When a 2nd pandemic occurs they all hunker down to ride out the lockdown. But when news comes out that the mortality rate is 39%, they all decide to leave and take refuge in a remote cabin.
