TGO - The Privateers takes you into the harsh reality of the motocross riders who race without factory support. The privateers are the underdogs lacking all the resources handed to the factory pros. With no money, no sponsors, no professional support and often a pile of debt they trudge onto an elusive goal. Sleeping in vans, unwashed clothes and surviving on canned food and peanut butter jelly sandwiches, they drive thousands of miles to the race in an effort to live the ultimate dream. To one day be.....a factory rider. Every privateer is a rare breed with his own tale to tell. Hear stories of undying spirit and a pure love for the sport. Making it to the main motos is the goal. Out of 300 or so racers, there are only 40 gates. But even in the midst of fervent competition, the privateers share an unspoken brotherhood. The world of the privateer gives a fascinating insight into what it takes to ride with heart.

Crusty Demons of Dirt
In 1994 filmmakers Jon Freeman and Dana Nicholson had been accumulating footage to showcase a behind the scenes expose of the lifestyle of an American pro motocross rider in action, 145ft plus jumps, 45ft high in the air soaring over sand dunes, mountains, houses, buses and anything else secure and steep enough to hold the weight of bike and rider. The end result was Fleshwound Films and the first video Crusty Demons of Dirt. The launch of this video was to change the face of motocross and create Freestyle Motocross (FMX). For over a decade, they took their dirtbikes around the world in search of unique locations and ultimately experienced the most ridiculous adventures. Exotic locations in nineteen countries : the ruins of Machu Picchu, packed arenas in Australia, the mysterious Easter Island, wild deserts in Africa no matter where we go, nothing is ever left the same.

To this day he still holds the record as the most successful British rider in the premier division of the motocross world championships.
